"Standing Before The Bill Of Rights" SAM pulled off a wonderful National Event in D.C., Skip, the speakers including Sheriff Mack, and everyone else did a great job, "it was fantastic, it was truly a celebration of freedom." Just good US citizens who love our Constitution, country, and families. All the major networks were there, MSNBC, FOX, CNN, and the NBC and ABC local stations. They did two live interviews on CNN, one on the "Ed Schultz Show" with SAM President Terri Stocker and with an interesting outcome. Women are really standing up, "don't mess with a Mama!" Annie Oakley quote on women and young girls being prepared to defend themselves with marksmanship training. A little secret, Liz's colt 45 is actually called Annie! SAM Sisters is another group teaching women, who can be both fierce and feminine. And by the way fellows, listen to find out one of the most romantic and thoughtful gifts you can give to your lady! Aside from the media's skewed statistics crime goes down in pro-gun ares vs areas with gun bans. An example of two cities, one required a gun in every home an one that banned guns in the city, and more. Our Founding Fathers were very specific in keeping the 2nd amendment in there for a very good reason. "We need to become engaged and hold our elected official and government accountable." An excellent article on an organization breaking down how many people were involved in various criminal activities and guess who it is! Now a poignant story, just imagine standing in front of the original Bill of Rights in the National Archives, as Liz did, to see it in writing from 235 years ago brought tears... then a mother and young daughters came up and Liz was stunned, they didn't know what they were looking at. "These are school age children that don't know the basic civics of our country." So she gave them a history lesson. Then a bit of her history, and more cool stories on that. Now about voting, and how to become an educated voter. A higher percent in Iraq vote even under the threat of violence torture and death than the percent of voters in the USA! "Let your children see you vote... we need to leave this better than we found it, what we're giving our children, and just remember that we are not able to do any of that without freedom and it's your liberty that every day you need to wake up and make sure that you are protecting in everything that you do." |
