"The Tortoise and the Hare"
We start with people he hears from in the process of preparing with a certain level of anxiety and uncertainty of what and *when* is to come, that brings a sense of unworthiness or the feeling of being behind the pack. Which leads us into the story of the "Tortoise and the Hare". An analogy of those who are ready and those who are not. His observations of people over the years preparing (in this area) and then leaving, then come back again. The hare is confident it can beat the tortoise to the finish line. Meanwhile, what is the tortoise doing, and what is the difference in their back stories? The one thing the tortoise never does, and the reality of the hares around here. The tortoise must keep its focus and never thinks 'why am I even trying?' In our reality, with a moving target of a finish line from any day in 2011 through 2014, whoever crosses that finish line is in the future. Karriem also points out the similarities of the "Grasshopper and the Ant" and the frequency specific between these characters. The End. Next, an update on his talks on cancer and more on longevity especially in future times. What is longevity like when things are changing and in chaos? Will telomeres get you through tumultuous times? "What Time is it on the Sun?"

How humans think about time, something that science actually can't prove exists. What Ramtha has said about the brain, time, and the expression of language. A cool story from creating his day and candle focus contemplations, lead to trusting that and not linear time that meant missing his flight, yet arrived at his destination having saved over $700!! "Cancer Dynamics and Multi Universes"
The late Ali arrives! What does he see in the future? Well at least we have an intention of what it will be. Back to the Multiverse thing, cancer, Ayahuasca, his talks coming up in LA Calif 9/18 and the Yelm area on 9/24 on "Cancer Dynamics." Karen's question on cancer has again moved him into more depth than before and into the process of carcinogenesis, the creation of cancer in the body, and what else will be in these new talks. Cancer is an alternate time line, evil, yet immortal, (look up the fascinating HeLa cells in the 60s). The back story is behind it, we want everyone's reality to be the same otherwise we are weird and not accepted, rather than experiencing reality in a new way. The future has all potentials, but look at 2012, for many it's as if there is only one future. Where do unlimited potentials begin? Karriem gives us a great scenario using an airport where we can begin to accept unlimited potentials. Coming to a conclusion keeps us from being able to access the multi-dimensional mind. How vast is the reality that you perceive? It's sunny today, but is it? Making known the unknown is all about potentials. The new state of consciousness and what does that look like in the brain? Imagine all the neurons connecting like the grains of sand in the desert, and what a new thought will do to that structure! The ability to connect to a different reality simply has to do with acceptance. "The Levels of Existence"
From his last talk 'The Wake Up Call!', in response to a listener's question on cancer, he says "perhaps I was a bit naive" ...he has received so many requests from groups and individuals, he says cancer has become an epidemic and gives the statistics. He will be giving a talk on August 27 in Calif on how to not be a statistic. This epidemic goes on quietly, it is bigger than what the public perceives, much bigger than 9/11 and many other subjects. Regarding the handling of symptoms and suffering, he is thinking about creating a cancer support clinic to help offset the damaging effects of mainstream treatments. Why do we still have chemotherapy? Will there ever be a cure? Karriem explains what he has learned from Ramtha about the seven levels of existence, though most of life is lived in the first three, and human nature... a large subject. Power in the world, power and fear have to do with death, WWII troops were exposed to mustard gas and Goodman & Gillman gained prominence by poisoning people. The dynamics of a powerful CEO such as Steve Jobs with cancer. A great parallel between religion purging evil from the body and mainstream medicine hoping the chemo won't kill you first. It's science until the human factor comes in, there will always be people living their back story in science, an example of clinical trials and how they work or not, the social category you see yourself in, an entangled situation. Logic - Karriem's model in Mr. Spock of Star Trek, a master of seeing things as they are. The art of making known the unknown, logic, self awareness, and self transcendence. Prior to a focused reality manifesting there are infinite possibilities, hold that thought with great acceptance.

"The Wake Up Call!"
First, Karriem's observations on the unusual climate and nature in his own backyard, and a toast with Borsao. Then the hour is devoted to Karen, a lovely BTO listener who wants his further recommendation (from previous program) for using alternative medicine -a diagnosis of breast cancer. He explains the technical side very clearly on how things work. BRM4, the immune system's job and what affects its harmony. Importance of sleep and the killer cells at night. These things support the immune system whereas surgery, chemo & radiation therapy is deleterious. "Exchanging Breath around the World"
Just back from L.A. where people he knows and some they know, have early to late stages of cancer, and the interesting 'pause' that cancer brings. More on that and the benefits of BRM4, he works with them as a global consulting Vice President of research and development. When we have a focused immune system it is a circulating component of the mind. The effects of a depressed attitude and lack of sleep on the immune system. The aspects of the body's environment survival, and the benefits of changing of both lifestyle and mind mentally and spiritually. Next, the Red Lion toast, from grapes and water to wine. When he walked into the mist of the forest, the dynamic presence of water that we breath and the process of the exchange and information that goes around the world like 'viral' email! We see only what we allow ourselves to see. "There is no exclusion in the Universe, it's not that we get denied, no, it's our level of choice." "DNA and Destiny"
As 'we' get settled down having just returned from Indonesia, he tells us of his talks to oncologists and saw how steadfastly programmed they are to the pharmaceutical model of drugs, so he gave them a little education on the fundamental basics of organic chemistry - they took it reasonably well. Which segues into a listener's medical question regarding her daughter's disease, DNA and destiny, incarnation challenges, opportunities, designed for the purpose of growth(?) yet there is no known purpose in this 'torture', how can this be seen from another angle? ...An example of motion sickness, the emotional gap, expectations, and is it wise to change the path of someone else when there is soul's choice, and how to change something's power over you (victim) to power over it (sovereignty) dancing in the labyrinth of one's creations. The current science model on DNA and Destiny, beyond our control? DNA is a data base not a blueprint. Example of a perceived disability that breaks a pattern, changing states, and possibly creates a different, worthier future. Ramtha's teaching on 'Depression', the ups and downs of life. "Continuing into the Unknown"
A toast with Ruah this time! By the way his book is in paperback, there may be an e-book later. The intent is to create healing transformation in the reader, phrases are structured like poetry or music. He reads some more for us, and of course there are tangents but aren't they always relevant? By now you begin get the ambiance of this book. While people are engendering fear about the "ice age", etc., Karriem's book is intentionally beneficial for the reader. How people perceive him, how he sees peoples in the world, and a story about his mother. His music, "Dissonant Allegory", (which you will hear), and what that means in music and in life. Then Alicia's email on women, fertility, Eldon Taylor, can't hold focus, and a tangent! This reminds Karriem of a an event, and his thoughts on men, women and biology! So why don't we stick to our focus? He explains confidence intervals in science and medicine and what "normal" means. Last is Karriem's quick outline of what society would be like if women were in power and men were not, it's a hoot!

"Welcome to the Unknown"

"Master Mind - Original Sin"
A listener asked for his perspective as a medical researcher on the effect of alkaline water on humans. (a great explanation making the first segment chock-full). By the way, this applies to any of the products out there, not just alkaline water. And, the surest way to sell something is too link it to the intrinsic sense of unworthiness, what he calls "original sin" and all that entails ..."oh and by the way, our product will fix that for you!" On to "Ayahuasca, Drugs, Brain, and Love" part of his Master Mind lectures. Words have an attitude associated to them, molecule sounds friendly but chemicals sound toxic, illegal drugs sound bad, drugs approved by the FDA must be good, etc,. "There's this whole bias way of thinking that throws off the process of understanding reality." The effect isn't the molecule's fault that we took in, an example of two guys, one healthy the other not, both are bitten by a rattlesnake, do they die? At the level of DNA, its expression creates different reactions, it may or may not give permission for a certain disease to manifest, a drug to work as expected, or a venom to kill you. Sometimes people shut down natural immune system abilities just to fit in with everyone else. It's all about helping us master our own mind.

"From Emotional Soup to Master Mind"

His talks in South America about mastering mind through science and knowledge, seeing things as they are in reality, seeing the future like animals do, that is our nature too! The three levels of solutions of mind, the first is emotional mind. Neurotransmitters, hormones, and understanding the brain. Examples of states of being, Communication 101, energy in-formation. What Karriem wants to achieve is for people to have ownership of this information. Rigid molecules, the key in neurotransmitters, behavioral loops, profanity to poetry, and their rewards. The sensory system of taste and smell, why do you like ice cream? The basic level of instinct and the rewards as biochemistry in social interactions. Perceiving our experience and access now in 2010 A.D. vs. 2010 B.C. Fast, fun, comfort foods like cotton candy, and the state of stress which is as if you were running from a predator, if you have this stress every day the predator will get you!

"What About Unknown Beliefs?"
Just back from Egypt and Jordan with great stories from many interesting places, including a little known town called Ar Ramtha! He had a hoot there and also had fun with how he was treated in Egypt. Muslim places and people are not much different than the rest of the world, women who want to wear the veil protest people in Europe trying to ban veils, then there are the hidden veils everyone has. If you think you are amazing just be it, e.g. Michael Jackson he never said he was great yet imitation was rampant. Karriem's talks and seminars, the bio chemicals of emotions, what happens with the ingredients of an emotional recipe, and the funny beliefs we have as science swings back and forth. What molecules are, how they act and carry information, examples with spoken language, tones, and how we set up reactions. "Why get angry when somebody is trying to make you mad?" It doesn't Matter? Then some perspective of what goes on in the world every day and how people react to it, or not.

"Mind Control and Focused Molecules"
An update of his presentations around the world and the fabulous subjects requested such as understanding the emotional body. Then... his lifelong fascinated with organic chemistry, how he views the world, the nature of the tangent, tangent concepts, and the character of the circle. Why his answers are so long, gossip, and changing the recipe of your emotional soup - understanding what the ingredients are, alchemy and cooking are the same thing. "If you are interested in mind control, go to Walmart (spooky place)" Mind control is dependent on the bio-chemistry of emotions ...the program has to be in you, and he explains in detail how this works and why. (Karriem creates a new recipe every time he talks!) An important decision he made at age 8 and a special teacher when he was 12. What Ramtha said at B.C. about seeing the red in the rainbow, Karriem explains our state when we don't see it and when we do. Seeing the cards is an example of the same thing. How mind altering drugs, LSD, Ayahuasca, mushrooms, etc., work in our brain, the focused molecule and quantum chemistry. All to help us know that with knowledge and understanding, everything is under our control.

"Beyond the Veil of Illusion"
Mastery of the cards, perception, veils, and fabricated illusions. There is so much knowledge on BTO with great Guests in diverse areas of knowledge, plus going way beyond the 'normal' the opportunity to expand your mind and ability with RSE Teachers and Ramtha teachings, whether you are a RSE student or not, you can learn a lot here! Karriem adds to that knowledge today, but first a toast and then he shows us three special wines he brought and why he chose them. Then soon he will be going to Pakistan to help doctors there with issues way bigger than H1N1. So, to the veils that keep us from seeing things as they are. He begins by talking about his journey with the cards, he had "dinked" around with the cards for years, like a survey, dancing around the discipline. For 3 years there were only 3 Masters of the Cards, then suddenly last summer hordes of people, mostly women, (what's up with that the men wondered?), demonstrated they could see the cards before turning them over, it shifted everything, and the men joined in. Karriem goes into depth on the perception of the cards, conscious mind, and recognizing the brain can come up with solutions, and the social consciousness regarding that. "It's about allowing the cards to present to you who they are... like who at first seem to look the same. Being present with the cards, that's why he likes seeing them as people, and how we put and see people in a box, "pick up on who that person (card) is." And by the way, the King of Clubs is also a symbol, the fundamental language. So back to levels of perception with no veils, "Ramtha says the answer is always in the question itself." Karriem mastered half the deck in one night, then came the doubt, "it shouldn't be that easy..." the next night he couldn't see them at all for a long time. "Welcome 2010!"
The Twilight Zone quote BTO style and creating your year RSE style! New Year's resolutions, the pre-programmed choices we make and when we are a victim to them. What is meant by creating reality and connecting yourself to the future. The fear around 2012, the movie "2012" with it's outrageous over the top scenes makes for an excellent opportunity to learn how to Create Your Year and Create Your Day. "Master creating your year, you have two years until 2012." Does "Scared Straight" come to mind? Ramtha on 2010, and a scene in "Saving Private Ryan," we can be accustomed to reality and see it as normal, we become acclimated to it. Nothing is out of balance, a new balance is measured based on the choices we make, we choose the orientation of the pendulum. Deficiencies, MDMA, neurotransmitters, and why we don't have different reactions on our own, an example of Dory & Nemo. The response to a medicine is already inside of you otherwise the drug couldn't create it. How do you orient your receptor sites? Changing the '0' in 2012 to the infinity sign or '8' = 2812 makes everyone relax, why? "because you already decided to die, or wow, instead you think that's extra time and maybe we can do something about it now!" And more miscellaneous tidbits of interest, such as "Bush Talk" and why don't you take that bag of emotional chemicals that is orienting the direction of your pendulum and just put it in the dumper!

"Millennium Longevity: Comes Home"
The nature of all tangents is that all tangents eventually come home. That it is with the three parts of the Millennium Longevity series, starting with a synopsis of part one - Exploding the myths of aging, Einstein, relativity, and time. Get this... time is astrology, why? click the "listen now" speaker! Associating aging with time is flawed. "We have centered our universal concepts around time," why Einstein was wrong, and why time is a no thing. Aging is decline of life, longevity is promotion of it. Part two - Immune system and aging, being focused on pain and suffering (in time) and missing the significant factors. The way Rod Serling (Twilight one) used the word 'Millennium' is why Karriem titled his presentation (reproduced -with the addition of tangents- for this series.) The science of psychoneuroimmunology. "Science is nothing but an expression of culture." Non ideal people who die quicker than ideal people based on "statistics" that FOX News can then use to sway the public. "No Two Things are the Same"
A lovely letter to Karriem, then an update on the Millennium Longevity website, his book, and listener questions... what does he think of the miracle supplement MMS; what happens when we kill the "bad" things and the level of the Blue Body which has no good or bad, "people still believe in sameness... nothing is the same, that is used in systems of power and control over people." Can inoculations be compared to homeopathic medicine where small amounts of the disease can be used, and the interesting process. Karriem's Toast, frequency specific to all those who are present --and about not just blessing a meal but toasting to everything, seeing the attitudes we have about the things we encounter, and allowing the blessing to manifest; a great equation to contemplate "the difference in what you say and what you do equals your level of stress." "Millennium Longevity: Aging and Death"
Karriem has been working on a website, born from his passion to make information available, providing access to his lectures from around the world, already on DVD! "Individual human life is coming to a reckoning." The criteria of for the primary value of life has changed over the decades, from taking grains of the earth to make bread for the nobles to asking the great questions such as 'what is my life?' and contemplating longevity and spirit validity. The joy of books, a story, and what he likes to read, (could be a tangent there!) Immunosenescence and aging; if your immune system is not senile it can recognize invaders, otherwise it may unleash its weapons of mass destruction onto your own cells which promotes aging; what does aging mean for the young and the old; if mind is stressed so is the immune system; so often we hear a wife dies shortly after the husband, 'my mother was only living for my father --there is an inherent nobility to being human, and there are other reasons to live.' The point is to recognize that aging and death are not the required routes of passage, never choose the path that say's 'it's time for me to start slowing down'... facts about cancer and as always, much more.

"A Merry Gentleman"
Wine and song fill this hour as Karriem begins by singing "Njoni Na Furaha" which is "O'Come All Ye Faithful" in Swahili! The all important rains in Africa and what we see of it on TV ...we are so disconnected while its people work out the issues. He suggests be your own conspiracy theory. "There are people out there that are helping the world, it's a conspiracy! They are doing it in secret, they are called the 'Green Men'!" [cool idea, and it's change!] Obama; concepts of conspiracy and limitation; the belief that someone else has the power, "imagine a King with only five people..."
Next comes Karriem on his bamboo flute! "Each of us has a song, we make a chorus, it's that challenge to raise your voice and sing, and know... my song is crucial to creation." Voting for change; the mind set of liberals and conservatives; and for the first time "someone I voted for actually won!!!" With that Karriem sings "Feliz Navidad". "Millennium Longevity: Attitude - The Obama Factor"
Karriem, in Indonesia during the presidential election, observed great interest and a definite rise in personal "yes I can!" ...an occasion celebrated across the world. Still, racial elements abound and the need for learning to see people from the inside out. The bizarre belief of Obama as the anti-christ, Karriem explains that term as defined at RSE. Is what we believe as bad, bad? Hitler, and a brief world history of racialized thinking and concepts. Obama and Hillary are huge runners for the world, was this election a time line shift? Are we focusing on future change? As individuals we create reality and... "we have a tendency to go to the past, I've seen it in myself, I know that territory." Cursing the world is an easy way out and the concept of superiority a huge burden in a diverse world with diverse issues. "People can hate you for anything... the more insecure the more need for validation." The seeds of war are in our subtle dislikes of others. "Millennium Longevity: Immune CIA"
We start off with a population of a trillion, a way to understand the human body, think of the deficit, you owe $1 for every cell in your body! The process of health, cell interdependence, and the brain which does not survive by itself but on an eco system called the human body (aka ego system), susceptible to invaders like terrorists and drug dealers. "Wherever there is an opportunity for life, life will occupy that opportunity." So why isn't the immune system a perfect defender? The adaptive and innate immunity explained, Aids, T-Cells, when the immune system takes action or not, and what happens with viruses. The cells are rejoicing now, they say "there's someone telling our story!" Childhood diseases, you can have a vaccine or natural immunity as they tend not to change whereas influenza changes constantly, people still carry immunity from the 1918 flu epidemic. Toxic substances, side effects, human additives, Natural Killers (NK) like the sheriff in a small town who knows everybody. Why the immune system rejects transplants; what makes a toxic reaction; manufacturing errors in the DNA; and cancer cells, a normal process gone too far.

A tangent on Lincoln, the theory he was bisexual and our ongoing arrogance. Continuing the Preamble... exploring the myth of aging and its dependence on linear time including Einstein's famous twin paradox and what he got wrong. Something to consider about tangents, the need for information; in a nutshell is like a drawing with few lines to suggest a face or a tree and the brain fills in the rest. "This tangent is an impressionistic version to create a landscape of choices." How we consider time, what is a day? "Time flies when you are having fun! An internal contradiction we are living."

"Wrap Your Mind Around This"
Back from a lecture tour, his first time to Eastern Europe --we started with the immune system, the subject of his talks, and his concept of it being self defense like a Samurai Warrior or Aikidoka... then of course, A Tangent! In Croatia he was on 'Good Morning Croatia' national TV "since humanity is all about feeling" he approaches language in that way (re our comment about his ability to speak with such natural cadence) he enjoys immersing himself in the culture of the land, as any attempt to speak the native tongue is greeted with glee! It's a way to know what people are like, after all we get so much propaganda on communist countries we have this awful image of them, from movies associating that accent with/as KGB! "We think culture is a thing rather than an option." It's easy to overlook how we are; example of Michael Moore's 'Awful Truth' and how Americans are viewed; "you don't think you are weird or a fundamentalist, you just think you are right." Then in Hong Kong translators for an RSE event knew Karriem talks fast so they practiced before the event, and guess what they used? Then more on culture but how does this connect to the immune system? We'll get to that (probably next time) much more in this hour, but first, he saw Ellen Degeneres' interview with John McCain on gay marriage. He later contemplated this, the approach is always civic or gay rights which doesn't get far, so what is another way to see this? What he came up with is so obviously un-obvious and perfect for a legal stance, he wished he could call Ellen and tell her! Does anybody out there have her phone number???

"Who?"
Dr Who? No, it's Dr T who begins with a tangent on "who." In the Sufi tradition (which sort of comes from the Islamic tradition, some theorize in order to not be eliminated) the word "who" represents the holy spirit, the unknown god, in mysticism the divine spark, the breath. The word is used with intention in his upcoming book where "who" refers to the god within, that divine being, and "whom" refers to the personality. Then a lovely toast and Karriem thinks it's a great idea for Nancy and Elena to write a book about BTO whose guests offer listeners many perspectives on the same subjects. Well one must be able to accept the unaccepted, like ridiculous ideas! A story of coming home from teaching in Mexico to a shall we say cleansing from above and below, and fasting through Christmas which started from a ridiculous idea, "Those cathartic moments in the bathroom with God." A listener's question on sensory deprivation, twilight, and the void. And a story of dancing in stillness and silence.

"It's About Wisdom"
"Where are your books???" Something he didn't intend since he doesn't read books why should he write one? He recounts his bizarre experiences in Bali studying Ayurveda that led him to actually start writing things, now 10 years on the shelf, and the intent (with "Dr Greg's" help) to make it manifest as a publishable book. Another question on "...having weird envy crap regarding 'groovy' people, their material possessions, kids... and ayahuasca parties." Karriem gives perspective with what happens in the brain and what is up with ayahuasca, and what is artificial or natural.... "As far as I know everything on this planet comes from nature, but it's not about that, it's about wisdom." A lot of people study psychedelics, but no one knows what the outcome will be for each individual. And who creates the response, the ayahuasca, the shaman, or you? Who do you trust to mess with your brain?" And his story of an "unusual experience" ...and all he had was mango juice! This is where the wisdom comes in, and also not giving your power away to a perception of a different culture being more enlightened or able to heal you. "Humanity is humanity, to me each individual is their own culture."

"Understanding the Situation"
A listener question regarding changing the operating room (OR) to reduce patient suffering not only ergonomically but shamanically? Well, first a tangent about the questioner, then "...the idea of making a shamanic change to the OR is like suggesting a shamanic change to the Catholic church!" The OR is like a sanctuary for mainstream medicine, for change there must be cooperation and an understanding of the mind set of the doctor's doctrine or people will be threatened. The phrase "earning a living" says to Karriem, "that I do not intrinsically have the right to live, I have to earn it," and whenever someone approaches something from the missionary position someone gets screwed (heh,heh), their survival is threatened as if you broke into their house, it's not rational but neither is thriving on stress like the bizarre attitude of an ER doc who complains about not having any emergency calls on his shift! Ramtha's definition of love, what "know your enemies" means, and the benefit of his teaching for Karriem to be able to see beyond judgement, categories, issues, and avoiding victim consciousness. A story setting perspective on the shamanic concept; creating ambience in the OR Karriem style; a new way to think about temperature, it doesn't *feel* like 62 degrees!; and seeing the edge of a rainstorm for the first time.

"The Travel Agent Within"
Back from traveling to countless places Karriem brings for us the ambience of his experiences... from local people preparing for an event at RSE (so much stuff!) to a college student from Japan who comes for the Assay event making the long journey to RSE, he needs a translator, he had never been to the school in Yelm before, what that must be like for him! Everything in other countries looks and sounds so different, that goes way outside one's comfort zone, "I'm honored that people make that journey." And how often in his travels does he hear "Hey there's Dr T!" or meet people "out there" who live in a little cabin with no TV but they stay connected to BTO! He enjoys the intimacy of being immersed in a foreign place, still it's nothing like the intimacy of a Beginning retreat, the new experience traveling within, the breakthroughs, the foundation from which to understand the whole of human existence. "There's a beauty to the human being, that birthright of being God," for Karriem it's an amazing thing to observe and to participate in as a facilitator. "Pioneers Let Go of the Past"
Where has 'Dr Tangent' been? Doing events all over the world and letting go of the past! His focus is to be anaological with questions, during a retreat they were doing Field Work and regarding it, he was asked the same question in three languages, by the time he went to the field he had such focus he found his card in 5 minutes! In life we tend to vilify things in the past, if you still hate that ex-husband, are afraid to eat chocolate because... you will not create a new future, the relationship is not done. The are many mechanisms in personality that holds onto the past, an example is his own move. Attachments to people, places, things, loop to the past and we live those loops. "If pioneers never left people behind no one else would ever come! It's a willingness to change, it's moving through the door to the other side of the *card." It's a challenge to overcome reluctance to change and enter the unknown... but once there it's beautiful! "What is Healing?"
In response to a listener's question regarding Ayurveda and conflicting/complimentary models for healing. Karriem expands it, examining the cultural differences, the dogma, the concept of "disorder" when there is nothing wrong with the brain, yet a functional member of the group is the desired result. Revenue is a factor hence "mood" drugs emerged, drugs are given but the fundamental issues may not be addressed. From this linear view comes an incomplete process and a naive approach to life. The difference between public health and medicine, predisposed perceptions and what does normal mean? Are you feeling better? "Science and medicine is whatever works." The meaning of Ayurveda, Japenese Kinpo, and the Confucius approach. "Everything has value because it exists, applicability is the question, is it applicable to you?"

Can't argue with that! "A Linear World View"

"Axicala Aliqu Shaman of the Unknown People"
Karriem's book, a compilation of his many experiences in the Rainforest and encounters with Shamans, a must read! Why did he go there? His scientific mind and desire to answer the great questions. The Shaman helps the physician to realize science is much like religion ...no, no, but yes. Professor and Priest mean the same thing [explained] Why a cancer cure from a little brown man in the forest doesn't make it very far with Ph. D.s. A great perspective is laid out that we shouldn't expect them to accept botanicals, energy medicine, etc., any more that we'd expect the Arch Bishop to accept the "Da Vinvi Code". Humans are human. We have expectations that when looked at realistically, are not! Are you mad at the bird who eats cherries from your tree? Fabulous memory? One may sound more impressive, but here's no difference between remembering Pi or your phone number. "I've never been convinced that I am smarter than others" -even though he could read the newspaper before kindergarten!- "That was thanks to my parents, everybody has that intelligence, it's a choice of application."

"The necessary 'if' in Science, and Skepticism"
Applying science as a context, there is always an "if". Human tendency is to make subliminal common assumptions; Methodologies of measurement change over time; "We have a very small sample of what's going on in the universe" how much do we really know? Scientists prefer things not to change too much, but some shake the pillars and pay a price. And prejudice, race, and the psychology of stress behind skepticism, it's about fear and control, mostly found in a certain spectrum, usually anything that makes things free (i.e. energy) or that empowers people, that in itself shows the skeptic's bias. It's about controlling boundaries. "Don't be skeptical about UFO's, be skeptical about human vision."

Both of his parents were both teachers, creating a home environment where questing for the uncommon and challenging the common were the norm.
