His "Gathering of Shamans", a new experience for us, with its theme
"The World is as You Dream It" was what planted the seed for the program.

John Perkins served as a consultant to the United Nations, World Bank, and Fortune 500 companies and was President of an alternative energy company that transformed the US utility industry. Then he spent many years in the Amazon, learning and becoming a shaman. In his book "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man" and in the latest program, John tells us of a part of his life long hidden, the real story of the work he did --despite bribes and threats, because it had to be told.

With his shamanic teachers, he founded Dream Change Coalition, a worldwide movement that facilitates earth-honoring shifts and helped seed The Pachamama Alliance, while trying to put the past away. John worked with indigenous people for over three decades, and in Dream Change Coalition and workshops, all with the aim of helping individuals and companies reach their potential and goals in an earth honoring way.   His previous books deal with these subjects. His latest book, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man is very different, it reveals the greed and power that is corrupting our world, and carries a powerful message and warning, it behooves us to listen.

What are we doing to the world?  Major media has become irrelevant, people are finding other sources for information, like BTO.  America is not a model to copy with it's huge consumption, waste, it's people so unconscious.  Most foreign aid is *not* altruistic, 50K+ people die daily from lack of food and medicine!  "We have created the worlds first economic empire, and when empires collapse it's not pretty.  We need something truly new, new thinking, new consciousness, we can reverse this!"  Changing Our Dream, Changing Consciousness... and a follow up book is coming!

In spite of being sworn to secrecy, bribed, and threatened, John had to get this information out, and it took his courage and a courageous publisher to accomplish it.   People are not aware of what goes on, and we are allowing what he describes by our ignorance, shopping habits, and complacency.   We need to attack our own lifestyle!   How can we possibly change things with big powerful corporations???   Well guess what...   Major corporations are very fragile, like playground bullies!   John explains how we, individually, have tremendous power to change the way our country is going.
