"I'm here for You"
As our candidate for State Representative JeanMarie is very accessible and believes in transparent government, feel free to call her with questions or comments (she gives her number on air). She continues to inform us, the voters, of the real issues we need to know. A great story of how she found Old McDebbies Farm during her 2006 campaign, owned by a lifetime republican who since then told her "You have done more for me then any elected official ever has!" A testament to her involvement with the community, imagine how much more she could do if elected as our state representative! She explains the unique voting system in WA state --complex changes, you will have to listen... but could it be the first step in dismantling the two party system? She thinks yes and warns us to be alert to this potential. There's a reason for the party system, it has built in checks and balances, and the parties need to work together. "The voter is witnessing something very unique, we are at a crossroads with the party system. If we loose it... who then runs it? Big corporations, ...money is ready to step in." More on Graham landfill, a serious problem, "I'm concerned but not panicked because I know there are solutions." And time to challenge the law of eminent domain, it's original good intentions lost, your land can now be taken for a strip mall.
Note: The fabulous kick-off party May 30th 6-9pm., has changed venue (due to county restrictions.) Now at: Frontier Park, 21800 Meridian South, Graham, WA |

"The People Have the Right to Know"
JeanMarie is back! Having done so well in the 2006 campaign, which brought a lot of attention to our mostly ignored district, she's been asked to run again. Since 2006 she has been heavily involved engaging herself in every way possible. She answers the most asked question, and three serious local issues come to light in this hour: 1) Plastic recycling, you'd think that is a simple thing but no, it has created huge problems including major damage to the ocean. 2) WASL, a high-stakes test that kids must pass from 3rd grade on, in order to graduate from High School and resulting in more dropouts, failed students, psychological issues, and tremendous pressure on students, (during the test they may not drink water or use the bathroom!) And it has taken over the curriculum as teachers must teach to the WASL, rather than a well rounded education it's teaching our kids what to think! It's so bad we have Mothers Against WASL, since when does 2 + 2 not supposed to = 4? Who's creating this test? Well let's just see... you'll be shocked at what JeanMarie's research reveals. 3) Graham landfill, literally a mountain of garbage set on top of an aquifer... which has already been contaminated! She invites you to go look, it's size is stunning, and then look at the farms around it, now being threatened through eminent domain... to expand the landfill. In spite of this JeanMarie is very hopeful and knows these things can be changed, it's a matter of electing people who will support your ideals! "I am so optimistic about an educated voter, people are rising up more than ever before... we have lost the keys to the kingdom, but the door isn't locked."

"The Hope of Change"
It is more than hope Jean Marie brings, she is making this happen! Eyebrows are raising everywhere, some who were skeptical are no longer as she draws great interest. And why not? As a candidate Jean Marie brings such integrity, morality, and honor to politics that it can waken even the drowsiest disinterested voter! "Our system of government is very exciting!" She evokes that excitement in all of us again, and the person who will put her in office is you! An interesting look at the records of incumbents; what happens with big developments; the daily pressure from special interests; the price of our judicial candidates, making this one of the most important elections in this state. And a behind the scenes look at a candidate's schedule, wow. "This is long term for me, this is my life as I see it now, I can't think of a higher calling, if we create it that way, than to serve the people."

"Courage, Strength, and Honesty"
A tribute to the force and power of the volunteer! It can take up to $100,000 to unseat an incumbent (often re-elected due to name recognition) a look at how it all works, and the challenge... our system has taken on a life force of its own but forgotten to take the people with it! The press reports Jean Marie as a candidate for the people with very unique honesty. "No candidate is more important than the people ...the government is not the enemy, we simply remind it we the people become the government!"

"Emerging Greatness"
Starting off unknown and largely ignored (much like District 2 is) she has become a voice being heard! "I took on the challenge of a steep learning curve and conquered it, I have become a viable candidate." Endorsed in every case, and the vote unanimous in favor of Jean Marie's campaign receiving services. The process of applying is an amazing experience, the many panels a candidate must sit before requires having a diverse knowledge base, and being articulate certainly helps! Now, what about voter apathy? This candidacy, uniquely based on being honorable, intelligent, and truthful, is enough to get voting! "There are folks out there running our lives and making decisions for us. If you say "I'm not interested in politics" well, politics is interested in you!" A decision not to vote *is* a vote. More on what your Representative does; the prison system and the history behind penitentiaries.
